Make Your Own Pasta Salad

  1. 1/2 cup olive oil or salad oil
  2. 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  3. 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  4. 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  5. 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  6. 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  7. pinch salt and pepper to taste
  1. 1/4 cup red onions, chopped (optional)
  2. 1 cucumber, seeded and chopped (optional)
  3. 1 6 ounce can black olives, sliced (optional)
  4. 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
  5. 6 ounces salami, sliced (optional)
  6. 4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled (optional)
  7. 8 ounces cooked pasta (ex. bow tie, penne, spiral, etc)
  1. In a glass jar with a screw top lid, mix olive oil, vinegar, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper. Shake well.
  1. Combine any of the ingredients listed (or anything else you can think of such as crab meat, green onions, etc.) and toss with the salad dressing.
  1. This can be made a day ahead and keeps well for several days.
